Wines of Italy Class with Mike Ward

Certified Wine Educator, WSET Level 3, and Italian Wine Scholar, Mike Ward will guide guests on a journey through Italy’s indigenous grape varieties.

Italy has over 600 indigenous grape varieties, more than any other wine-producing country. Each grape is specific to a region or area and reflects the growing conditions, history, and culture of the wines and people of that region. In this class, we’ll taste 8 different Italian wines from an assortment of Italy’s most historic regions. We’ll discuss the wine, the grapes, and the traditions of the regions. You’ll leave the class with more knowledge of Italian wines and have a lot of fun learning about them.
